Lyn and Jack have always loved living in the outback and this is reflected in Lyn's work. Since returning to Quilpie Lyn also has been involved in the field of economic development and believes implicitly in a positive future for rural Australia. As evidence of Lyn's confidence in the future of outback Australia, in 2000 Lyn opened her own gallery in Quilpie and began working as a full time professional artist. In August 2003 Lyn opened her first solo exhibition in Brisbane at the Graydon Gallery New Farm. The exhibition was highly successful and has become an anticipated yearly event.
